Elaine Helm Norton Bio
Elaine Helm Norton is the new media editor for The Herald newspaper in Everett, Wash., where she oversees news and multimedia content for HeraldNet.com. She started her career in journalism as military affairs reporter at the Kitsap Sun in Bremerton, Wash. A native of Washington state, she earned her bachelor`s degree in 2005 from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She lives in Everett with her husband, Kevin, and their cat, Sasquatch.

J-Lab, with funding from the McCormick Foundation, seeks to fund four women-led projects in 2010. Each project will receive up to $12,000.
